Elphaba Thropp
"I call myself a witch now..."
"...the Wicked Witch of the West, if you want the full glory of it."
Azkedillia
When two supposed witches meet
Az and Elphie aren't aware to the depth of their connection. Elphie is the one who was supposed to become the so called Witch of the West who posessed Azkedillia. But the connection is there, and seeing neither Elphie nor Az are witches, it's a really close one. Az welcomed Elphie to the island, and Elphie is keeping close to her since. In a way, Az is the family Elphie never had in Oz. The fact that she knows Oz and is from Elphie's future is something Elphie is very curious about. She was the first person Elphie let in and talked to. Elphie's highly protective of Az.
DG
Not a farm girl
Being Az's sister, DG and Elphie share a common loathing to formal events and girlish glee. Elphie finds DG amusing, and quite like Az, she sees her as another sister. She half wonders if DG will ever protect her with a stick too, she heard stories from Az. [CURRENTLY NOT ON THE ISLAND]
Dean Winchester
It's all the apple pie's fault
At first Elphie found Dean a refreshing change, being the only one who ever told her he has seen weirder things than green girls. And then he became interesting, and a little while later oddly charming. Not that she'll say that to him, mind you, he seems to think she's 'cute', God forbid. Point is, over a short course of time, Dean became one of Elphie's closest friends, and no, she's not sure how that happened. He was the only person on the island capeable of making Elphie blush, something she heavily denies. If you ask her, it's the fact that he's fond of apples, with a healthy dose of personal charm.
Artemis Fowl
It's a cleverness
The way Elphie sees it he's one of most intelligent individuals she ever met. Which makes him interesting, since he's a man of wit and has such a sharp mind. Elphie holds his friendship in high regard, and he has her utmost respect. She cares for his well being quite a lot.
Kyouya Ohtori
They both fear the blond
Elphie feels for Kyouya. She has since they've met, seeing they both have strong affections towards certain annoying blonds. But beyond that, Elphie finds Kyouya interesting and very, very clever. One more man who won her respect, she feels safe enough with him to let him in and talk to him about issues she wouldn't normally discuss with people. She finds him to be charming too, well after all, he is a host.
Jenny
It's always the golden haired ones
Elphie's first lover, and a good friend. Elphie's all too fond of Jenny. She reminds her a bit of Glinda in her golden haired beauty. Jenny is sweet and caring, and Elphie likes her quite a bit.
Havemercy
A different sort of charm
Elphie finds Havemercy to be one of the most interesting not to mention beautiful woman she ever met. But of course she never told her that. The fact that Have was a dragon ones makes her even more interesting. She thinks she's highly clever.
Yoru
Curiouser and Curiouser
Elphie always wants to know a little more about Yoru. She finds him mysterious and interesting, and enjoys his company. When most people would find him odd, Elphie doesn't think that way at all. She thinks of him as a friend, one that she wishes to learn more about.
Ami Mizuno
Great minds think alike
One of Elphie's better friends on the island, Ami is clever and caring. She teaches Elphie chess, and Elphie finds her to be brilliant at it.
Prussia
The one who will end her sanity
She has no idea how they became friends. She usually complains around him or teases him but truly she's very fond of him. There's more to him, and she's quite sure of it, and he maker her laugh quite a lot, not that she'd admit that to him, 'cause really, his ego doesn't need more boosting.
Esther Blanchett
A frienly acquaintance
Esther is gentle and she's very kind. Elphie cherishes her friendship. She knows Esther is a woman of religion, and is very interested to learn about her religion and the world she came from, being naturally curious.
Tony DiNozzo
The one who teaches her slang
Really Elphie adores Tony. He has a wonderful sense of humor and he's very patient with the fact she doesn't get half of what he's saying. She somehow always manages to land him in a state of shock, sometimes it's because she has no idea what hot dogs are and sometimes because she tells him she never celebrated her birthday. Good times.
Bonny Serge
The one who is called 'captain'
A strong, impressive and amusing woman, Elphie always enjoys talking to 'captain'. Bonny is clever and Elphie would like to know her better.
Akito/Agito Wanijima
Most interesting
She was the first ones to meet Agito, and he doesn't bother her much. The fact that there are two of them is very interesting to her, but she's curious about them as two different people, since that's what they are to her.
Ishida Uryu
Yet another clever one
Elphie thinks Ishida is intelligent and sensitive, which brings him to say the right thing at the right time. She enjoys discussing philosophy and books with him, and thinks he is very good company.
Beatrice
The one who is really a witch
An immortal witch, Beatrice held Elphie's interest from the very second they've met. Elphie compares her to the Kumbric Witch and to the old legends she heard in Oz of powerful young women with magic powers as ancient as the world itself. Beatrice is interesting, clever, and while she can sometimes seem childish, Elphie always wish to speak to her and to learn more about her.
Soi Fong
The one who holds her interest
There are few people who are as interesting to Elphie as Soi Fong is. Immortal, clever and seemingly anti social, Elphie doesn't let it stop her from asking Soi Fong as many questions as she can about her world and sometimes about her. So she may not know her age, but for her, the name is a first step. Soi Fong is one woman Elphie would like to know better and to try to understand.
Sora Hashiba
It began with the subject of memories
Elphie finds Sora to be a sweet, honest boy. It's interesting to her that he doesn't remember parts from his life, having lost a memory in Oz herself, she'd like to help him in whatever way she can so she usually tries to give ghim advice and to listen to him.
Temperance Brennan
See we both are lovers of logic
Brennan is by far the most intelligent woman Elphie ever knew. She finds the woman simply fascinating and, quite like Brennan, she never gets slang or anything about popular culture so the two have quite a bit in common
Miki Kaoru
A friend in the making
Elphie enjoys speaking to Miki, and was flattered when he offered to play for her on her birthday. She quite adores his musical talent and would like to get to know him better.
Road Kamelot
Yet another curious one
Miss Road appears to be childlike, but Elphie believes her to be an intelligent one, her mind is sharp and Elphie do enjoys their conversations. She wonders about miss Road, her world, and her nature, but those are things to be discovered over time.
The Doctor
So very clever
The Doctor was one of the first individuals Elphie met on the island, and is still one of the most interesting, clever individuals she knows. When she thought of dying, he is one of the only people that mananged to convince her to give up the idea. The reason is, Elphie just listes to him. She may be a stubborn one but she knows he's simply older and more intelligne than her. So she's likely to turn to him since he has her respect.
Edel
The one who also knows Animals
Edel is quiet, she has a sense of serenity that Elphie finds charming. Edel is clever, and unlike Elphie, her cleverness walks hand in hand with a calm, sweet nature. Edel also once spoke to animals, which led Elphie to understand both their worlds had Animals in it, which turned Edel into the one person on the island that Elphie feels could understand her anger about their rights.
Tamaki Suoh
...Blonde
Tamaki reminds Elphie of Glinda...like a lot. He's as bubbly, as dramatic and they're both blondes. Which is exactly why Elphie finds him amusing and nice to talk to. She also knows he is of some importance to Kyouya, so she's always very civil and polite when speaking to him.
Grace Van Pelt
They both dislike birthday parties
Grace, to Elphie, is an interesting young girl. She has a strong sense for justice, much like Elphie herself and she's well educated and indeendent looking, and Elphie appreciates her. She's one of the people she'd like to know better. Plus they both hate large birthday parties which is a plus.
York
The one who belives in the soul
Really York was the first one to make Elphie ponder the subject of souls again, which won him points in her book since she had an opinion on the entire matter. Elphie finds him intriguing and clever. He's well mannered to her, which is a plus on its own. She does want to know more about him, and his world, since well, she finds it most interesting.
Allen Walker
The one who knows optimism and chess
Allen is different than Elphie, he's an optimist, beleving in things she would mostly frown upon. But Elphie feels that Allen is passionate on the things he believes in, and that makes her respect him. He's kind, very kind even. And hey, she practices chess with him, and she enjoys that.
Matthew Williams (Canada)
The one with the Polar Bear
Elphie finds him to be a sweet one, she appreciates his care for her, even if she doesn't find him worthy. He also has what they both believe to be a Bear, and a Polar Bear, of all things! Which makes interested since the Bear used to speak, so she believes that with some practice she'll make his speak again.
