I think that I really hate myself and am a horrible person. I treat the people that I care about like dirt. I should be shot.

i feel very conflicted in that on one hand, i've arrived at a place in my life where i am comfortable and open to living and being happy and all that jazz. on the other hand i am very insecure and have a low opinion of my intelligence and ability to think and articulate clearly and with personality. this is a problem in my relationships because i shy away from conversations that go beyond personal views about life in general- ones that i've developed through experience rather than academic education and political observation. i want to learn about these things and form opinions to back up conversation with... but i don't make the effort and am left to small talk and my addiction to livejounal which, if i'm not careful, might cost me my boy friend and my job.
