Junsu was leaning forward with his chin resting on his palm on his desk while he absently played with his ring on his forefinger as he waited for the professor to arrive for class. It was another slow day for him and all he wanted to do is get out of school and go home.
Suddenly the professor arrived and he quickly sat up straight in his seat, which caused his ring to slip off from his finger and fall to the floor, rolling off to God knows where.
‘Oh no, my ring!’ Junsu silently cried as he frantically searched for his precious ring on the ground.
“Kim Junsu?” the professor called out to him
Junsu stopped searching, “yes sir?”
“Is something wrong?”
Junsu shook his head, “no sir, just looking for something that fell,”
“Ah I understand…but please look for it after class.”
“Yes sir,” Junsu dejectedly replied and sat down on his seat, although he kept his eyes open in case he spots the ring.
Finally class ended and he started searching for his ring. He checked under every seats and tables and even at the corners of the room. He couldn’t find it anywhere.
‘My ring…where are you?’ he could feel his eyes tearing up because the ring was very special to him.
“Is this yours?” a voice broke his thoughts and he turned around. He was surprised when he saw the owner of the voice, Park Yoochun was standing in front of him and he was holding out his hand with the ring on his palm.
“Y…yes, I’ve been looking for it…” Junsu spoke softly as he eyed the ring in Yoochun’s hand.
Yoochun smiled and nodded his head. “Here then,” as he motioned Junsu to take the ring from him.
Junsu held his palm open and watched Yoochun place the ring on his palm. His fingers slightly touched Junsu’s palm and he felt it tingle.
Junsu gasped and held back his hand as he stared at Yoochun, who frowned. He must have felt it too.
“Tha-thank you,” Junsu said blushing, slightly stuttering while slipping the ring into his finger.
“No problem,” Yoochun replied with a tiny smile on his lips.
‘I wonder…how would it feel like to hold hands with you?’
