Trip to Scotland and Brussels.
Okay, I FINALLY get some time to post about my trip. It's been wackadoodle 'round here, so this is the first chance I've had!
My Friend Adam's flat I was staying at in Edinburgh. It looks like it would be really small, but actually it was quite roomy inside:
I arrived on the 13th, and I was EXHAUSTED. So the first day we just relaxed, ordered in, and I got to catch up on all the british comedy shows I love...like Black Books! :)
Then that night we went to a pub in Edinburgh...I think it was called the basement, but not 100% on that. Here are a few of the nice people I met that night that I will probably never see again. :(
Danny was our bartender. He was AWESOME and gave us each a HUGE chocolate chip cookie! :)

Random nice guy (I forgot his name!!!) that we talked to outside the pub. He was sad because he was hungry and Subway had run out of bread :(

Before we drove up the coast of Scotland, and went to Brussels, we visited my friend Solie from High School. I got to meet her husband and her little one. :)

Driving up the coast of Scotland was beautiful and amazing....BUT, retarded Adam forgot to charge his digital camera, so we didn't get as many photos as I would of liked to. Here's a few:

Before we went to Brussels we went to see The National play. They're AWESOME live, and afterwards they were going to be hanging at a bar across from the venue, so we decided to go. I, of course, got SMASHED, so I was introducing myself to everyone! HAHA! Thank god they were nice :) I HAD the BEST time that night! The bar had an upstairs/downstairs..two dj's, and a band called "Scunner" played. Scunner was great fun, and I fell in love with the lead singer who calls himself "Paul Puppet". I kept telling him over and over that he looks like Stephen Merritt from The Magnetic Fields, so he started singing the song "How Fucking Romantic" by MF for me...haha! Here's a couple of photos of us together:

We went to a few pubs in Brussels, but I think the one I had the best time at was a, get this, IRISH pub..haha! Here's a few blurry photos from that exccursion:
This was our bartender. He loved us so much, that we he got off his shift he sat and talked AND drank with us. He bought us a lot of shots, and I really don't remember the walk back to the hotel! Thank god Adam did!
In this picture he's trying to explain something to me. I think I asked him a question to the effect of "why do guys to this..yadda yadda"..

This picture was taken in the coolest bar/pub I've ever been too. Too bad the pciture didn't come out well. I can understand why it wouldn't tho'..it's meant to be dark in there. All the tables are coffins. and the walls are black leather embroidered with patterns that look funeral home-ish. It's called Le Cercueil (The Coffin), and they served beers in skulled-shaped pitchers. This is what is looks like from the outside, so you have no idea that it's an actual pub!

I also went to see Beirut play in Glasgow. Unfortunetly, there's not pics from that show....but they were incredible!
Whew! This post took a lot out of me...haha! I had such an amazing time. I didn't want to come home...I never felt so happy and so healthy..dispite the drinking, which I didn't do as much as it seems I did! It was really a bummer to have to come back home, back to the insanity, back to the craziness of my family. I wouldn't change a thing tho'. I would always regret it if I never went. I hope you all enjoyed the photos. :)
