Don't you sometimes wish that you had a camera attached to your eye so that you could swiftly take pictures of all the fleeting but glorious things you see as you hurry from one place to another? As I walked back to my gate at the airport this morning, I saw a boy standing in line at a coffee shop with his parents, holding a banana up to his ear and talking into it. His voice was like chimes and his eyes had that focused look you get when your mind is preoccupied with things other than your sense of sight. I laughed out loud, and the people walking near me looked at me funny... but I continued to chuckle to myself, and the smile pasted on my face clung to me, along with the hot-chocolate-down-my-throat-after-a-rigorous-evening-of-sledding feeling I get when I see children using their imaginations in any way, shape, or form.
it's literally like that every day. today is especially my favorite, since paul and stacey both always have to work- i get them all to myself! i look forward to saturday as soon as sunday is here.
