You know you're having an interesting time at the laundromat when an older woman walks up to you and says, "Do you know what CRACK looks like?"

Apparently she found it in her 13 year old Grandson's jeans. That boy has got some esplaiiinin' to do.

HAHA! That's awesome. Sure beats any experience I've had with laundromat strangers.

Yep--it was pretty funny alright. We ended up chatting about drugs for awhile--which was funny seeing as she was a grandma and all. :P But I have a feeling it wasn't crack seeing as her grandson mistook a bag of bulk oregano for pot. And that was in his granny's cupboard! LOL! So I'm imagining he wouldn't be able to get ahold of crack...but who knows.

Kids these days......

I checked it out for her...not that I REALLY know what CRACK looks like...but I thought i'd be able to help her a bit....but to be honest, it looked like those white mini garden rocks....and now that I've been thinking about it longer--it'd prolly dissolve in the wash...but what the heck would it be? It made for an interesting convo that's for sure. I'm hoping to see her again soon at the laundromat, cause she said she'd keep me updated if she saw me around again. And yes, I'm crazy curious too. :P

I wish I could have seen my face when she asked me...I tried to be serious and have a "non-reaction" cause at that point I wasn't quite sure WHY she was asking me. My first reaction was that SHE was a crackhead...but then she started explaining about her grandson and then I just felt bad for her...i'm sure she was freaking out inside. She even told me she had thoughts of lighting it to see if anything happened (not smoking it--but just lighting it) but she figured someone would see her and call the cops....thus the reason she asked me. I don't think I LOOK like the type that knows what crack looks like--but maybe she was just desparate to know so that she wasn't jumping to conclusions. I can't wait to see her again to ask her how it all turned out.

No, she didn't know...that is why she asked me. I mean, I think everyone has an *idea* of what crack looks like from various forms of media. And I DIDN'T say I knew what crack looked like--I just looked at it anyway. I don't know, I guess I thought I might know if I SAW it.

I just told her not too jump to conclusions...cause the boy mistook oregano for pot--so I have a feeling he wouldn't even know what crack looked like let alone how to get it. But ya never know... Jeebus.
