Well, depends how you feel. Do you want to kiss him? I would think on a first date, closed mouth is definitely the way to go. More than that seems a bit sketchy so soon.

And most of all, just do what feels natural. From past expierence, first kisses are always awkward, so dont worry =D.

depends on how old you are:
12-18 - yes.
19-23 - Better be a little more than that, elsewise, there's no spark.

Thats about all I can speak for as a guy.

it is good to kiss with your lips closed on the first date and if it feels good then u can get closer together
