get a notepad, and on each page, tell James to draw items you say
for example, a sheep, a cow, a horse, a flag, a lorry
then, when you set off on your journey, make sure James has the notepad in the car with him, and get him to tick off each item as he see's in on the journey
think of looooads of stuff, and he'll be constantly looking out the window trying to spot the stuff in his notepad
trust me, keeps em entertained forever :)

I don't know, cause i'm sure I just used to sleep the whole time ;oP
If I couldn't sleep on a night, I had to be taken out and driven around in the car, because that got me to sleep :o

He was like that when he was younger. Unfortunately, he is now at the " are we there yet?" stage! :/

If he likes to read I'd suggest a good book.

When I was little, my mum always stopped at the services on long journeys and bought me a new book or three to read, it would keep me quiet all the way to wherever it was we were going!

Get a second-hand one from EBay. No need for a GBA (Gameboy Advance), a Gamebody Colour with a few games shouldn't be much more than say £20 or £30. So, is this for a Holiday drive, or the "big move" to where Martin lives?

Big move. 16 days to go :)

Sorry I deleted you from my list Chris. I was just so upset that you were laughing at people taking the piss out of me on lj uk.

I thought about a gameboy......but they all seem pretty expensive, and then you gotta add the games too!
