i know :), i've never been soooooo excited about an election. i still can't believe bush got elected TWICE. i'm still in disbelief.. like wtf?! the first mistakes weren't enough?!!
im really happy that at least prop4 passed. i can't believe it was so close either..im just so so so so so disappointed about prop8!!
i really wish people read a little more on the props too before they voted cuz im sure a lot of them didn't read the cons.
I'm just glad all the other countries will stop making fun of us and we can be seen as we once were in the world view. And with such a minumental run the whole world knows what happened last night, so I think the USA's approval rate just went up 110% overnight.
I'm glad you're not one of thoe people who are like, "This is the first time I've ever been proud to be an American." I'm like, why did you ever stop? Yeah we had a bad 8 years, but America as a whole hasn't changed and we all know what's been up for the past years, so why discredit the whole, you know? Ugh. People are weird and tarnishing what's going on, which kind of contributed to my previous ambivilence.
lol no, i'm not one of those people. despite the last 8 years, it is only in america where we can actually have civilized elections, and despite the outcome of those elections... to not have the country go into complete chaos is just truly and uniquely american.
i think the world knows our last 8 years was a completely mess/joke and hopefully, overtime... people will come to understand that whatever actions/decisions made in the past did not represent the views of its people. it will take some time cuz the last cabinet seriously fucked up international ties.
prop 8 was worded weird, double negative thing. no vote = yes vote for gay marriage rights.
