How Liberal / Conservative Are You? I had something to say in the way of news... but now I can't remember what it is. School is pretty much over for me. We're watching movies in Bio, in journalism, not that I do much in journalism regularly, but The Arrow is going to require minimal effort once all the senior wills are collected, and my last poli sci test is in two weeks. Other than that I have French, where all I'll be doing is reciting the poetry I've had memorized since freshman year, and art.... where I think I'll be making a pinata or something, or maybe just putting together my scrapbook from my trip to France. Ta da. All that's left really is English... which may or may not be challenging.
I got my prom dress in the mail yesterday.... and now I want to exchange it for black, but the receipt says "all sales are final." I might have to kill myself or something. I'm still going to try though, because I don't recall them telling me their return policy when I was at the store, so I think if I call and explain the situation (and bitch them out for not saying that I wouldn't be able to return it) they might be flexible.
I discovered that I've been lying to myself about my weight. After being weighed for tournament, I discovered that my bathroom scale is off by eight pounds... So much for antique bathroom scales being accurate!
Oh yeah, there was something I was going to say here, but now I don't remember what it was...
Oh! The baby shower... today I walked into Mrs. Riley's room, where I normally eat lunch, only to be engulfed in "It's a girl!" balloons and streamers, possibly one of the oddest rooms I've ever eaten lunch in. At first I was slightly taken aback, but the more I think about it, the more... I don't know, nice it seems. Not that I am in any way an advocate of teens taking on the tremendous task of being a parent, but if she's set in her decision to keep the baby and is also still in school three weeks before she's due, why not celebrate?
I am infinitely excited about summer because I'm making the best list of ways to spend my time and I'm really going to do all of the things this time! And since I'm have my license and am finally allowed to drive on the freeway... gosh, the possibilities are ENDLESS!
