Unfortunately that doesn't really tell you the market share, or the feasibility of (for example) recycling various home electronic products. Also, if you take a look at the companies themselves, the ones that are "greener" are also not *really* comparable to, for example, Nintendo who a)mainly manufactures software and not hardware and b) makes a very specific line of products targeted to a specific audience versus a company that makes a wide variety of diverse items at much greater volume for the public at large to use everyday.
That's not to say I don't think companies shouldn't look at reducing wastes and making products both reusable and hopefully recyclable, because they should. But I honestly don't feel that all of these particular companies are all "apples" and some of them would be difficult to really compare without a more detailed analysis.
Also, I just dislike greenpeace because I take issue with their philosophy and practices as they stand now. So I fully acknowledge that bias :P
I believe the rating is largely based on the amounts of toxic chemicals and waste that go into production - not from *just* the final resulting products, but how they run their business, where they get their energy from, etc...
What is it about Greenpeace's philosophy and practices that you dislike?
