A sweeping statement...

Things you never think you will hear your mother say:

"Helen! There's a feature about cosplay on the news."

Despite having written about anime for two years now, I can't ever remember talking to her about cosplay...I'm not even that interested in it! Heh.
I didn't think she even knew what it was!

Well, it's been a pleasing sporting time so far. Sunday ( Read more... )

Here's hoping you're right on South Africa. Though I can't cheer for England in the first match, for obvious reasons. ;)

Haha re: England. I missed the SA/Mexico match (I was sleeping) but saw Uruguay/France....great job by Uruguay! Looking forward to England/USA tomorrow. :)

Yes, you did beta Catch Me...it never actually went beyond those four chapters, I think. It was a decent idea that just puttered out. As for Milky Way/Mars, they are indeed the same thing (what is called Milky Way in the US is called Mars in the rest of the world). Though we used to have an actual Mars bar here but it was different from those that you have. Just like your Milky Way bar is different than ours. So confusing!

I do have Past the Shadows saved on my hard drive somewhere. I'll e-mail it to you if you want to read again :)

Hey, hope you are OK.

Although I can't say I'm Söderling's biggest fan, you can't fault his tennis. He didn't serve particularly well and Rafa just made him play that extra shot that you can't get back. So glad that Rafa won (and although he didn't play as well as in 2008, he was still so far above the rest, which is quite scary for them all!) and it felt so good to see him back winning Slams again.

His crying did get to me a bit, I think it was just a flood of relief oh his part, bless him.

It's odd, so many people like to suggest that Rafa's humility is somehow false. But his body language doesn't lie, when he congratulated Söderling in the victory ceremony, he turned towards him to say the words. False? No way.

Shame about Queen's, he seemed to have a problem with his bum (LOL) the physio was kneading it like bread hehe. But he can go home and rest now before Wimbledon. :)

Your mum rocks!

I got Uruguay in the sweepstake. Yay me. Actually, from what I've been hearing, they're not actually that bad... but they're not exactly about to win the cup either. That's me £2 down, then.
