So like everyone on my FB is obsessing over this cover of Gotye's Somebody I Used To Know (By Walk Off The Earth):
Of course it's the ingenuity of the band deciding to play the cover on a single instrument that's pure genius. (Btw I think the blonde is a total hottie, and having never heard the song before until I watched this video I was pleasantly surprised when I was treated to her vocals. Fuck yeah. Hot girl singing a deep song.)
I'd like to recommend that if you like this song, give the original a listen. The music video's pretty sweet too (and the Katy Perry Look-a-like is cute too!):
So yeah, I'm pretty set on writing a fic based off either version of the song. Not sure if it'll be a one-shot, or a long fic. And of course not sure what pairing would be great. Obviously no one likes it when Naomily breaks up -- but think of all the heartache and angst I could come up with using the painful lyrics?? (And I lied only people that like non-canon pairings like Kaomi would love the idea of a Naomily break up fic to lead the way for some non-canon, epic love story. Yeah I'm obsessed with my OTP. I'll admit it.) It could also be a delicious post-affair fic between a forbidden couple? Oh boy, the possibilities are unless. Anyway, we'll see what I come up with in the future.
