John and I had plans with family yesterday, and did not get to do any writing on the first official day of NaNoWriMo. So today has been a full on writing frenzy as John and I try to kick out 3,333 words. I have about 800 words to go before I'm back on track.
John and I were able to grab our fave table at Panera and have had soup and endless amounts of water/soda/coffee. We have a surge protector power strip to protect the laptops, all of our books and notebooks and the various toys we need to fill our NaNo day. Considering both of us were not all that ready to jump into the NaNofrenzy this morning, I think we've done remarkably well.
And we've done a stellar job here at Panera, despite the screaming children, arguing couple and the opposing political view people sitting near us at various times today. I'm confident I'll have my word count in a few hours. Plus, we received an extra hour today! It's like a happy present. :O)
No pictures of the soup this time. Sorry, I ate it. It was pretty embarrassing when the clerk at the register said, "Wow, you really like that soup."
Ok, back to NaNo. Oh wait, I have to do my stats:
