Life List

Inspired by Mighty Girl's Life List, here is a list of my own. I started it about a month ago and it is still a work in progress, but the goal is to have at least 100 items on it. It has been surprisingly difficult and easy to think of things I want to put down in writing. A lot of these things I've maybe thought of in passing, but there's real ( Read more... )

2. Learn to knit
I can teach you...

21. Participate in a giant pillow/food fight
Int'l pillowfight day! April 3, 2010

29. Have my hair straightened. Chemically.
Don't do it! Your hair looks fantastic!

43. Spend a week rafting down the Colorado through the Grand Canyon
i think there is a really long waiting list for this (like, years long). you should try to get on it as soon as possible.

53. Feel beautiful
but... you are!

very inspiring list, lady!

29. I know several people will be against this one, but it's not permanent! Any hair style I might actually want doesn't work with curly hair, and any hair style that works with curly hair doesn't work with my curly hair, so I figure - why not just try it?

43. My parents did this a few years ago and I don't remember them having a ton of trouble booking it, but perhaps things have changed! Eek!

53. Aww geez, thanks *shuffles foot*

hm. i just remember a coworker told me about rafting through the canyon and then hiking up, and that he had been on a waiting list for a year and a half to do it. but he told me this story a few years ago, and it had happened a while before that. so maybe things changed for the better, if your parents didn't have a problem with it.

51. Yes, tool library! I've never used it (nor have I even been inside the regular library since I moved here - it's always closed by the time I get home), but it's kind of nice knowing it's there.

Yes to ice skating! I'm not sure when, though. We'll have to talk about this. :P

I love it!

You read Mighty Girl too? I've read it forever, since I discovered Maggie Mason (then Berry) writing for the Morning News. She also went to Davis, and was editor of the newspaper I later worked at. She's so cool!
