Sark is running on what amounts to suppressed rage. April's been missing for weeks and she hasn't been seen anywhere, and then Vaughn had to be the first to speak to her. And, honestly, since when is the boy scout full of that much spite? The answer to that question is probably obvious. He tends to bring out the worst in people

For a moment, she doesn't react. Because really, she can't pick his mind out over everyone else's. But after a couple of minutes, she starts managing to get everything under control. Just treat it like when all the children would crowd around for a story, loud and minds racing, just... on a bigger scale. And when she starts getting it blocked out, slowly but surely, she finally feels something familiar.

So the girl they called Suha, "forgotten", looks up and sees the only face that she remembers from before the shadow regions. And lights up. It's uncertain, and she's not sure if she's hallucinating or not, so she doesn't move, but her hope is written all over her face.

"Julian?"

There aren't that many people who call him by his first name and none of them call him by that name with that much earnest hope. For a moment, he can't believe it, because... He saw her a few weeks ago and she was a fourteen year old girl, and now... She's older, but it has to be her. It just has to be.

He crouches down in front of her, expression placid, but bordering on becoming something else entirely. It's in his eyes how much he's holding back and he's not really sure why other than it's just habit. She hasn't been there for him to let go for awhile and he fell back into the habit of pushing everything aside.

"April?" He finally says, just to confirm. Just to be sure he's not being tricked or something has just gone wrong.

She almost recognizes the name. It sounds familiar... but maybe it's just a month. It never sounded familiar coming out of anyone else's mouth. "I... I don't know. Am I?" She's looking at him with those big hopeful and trusting eyes. There's only one person who's ever looked at him like that.

"Please," she almost whispers. "Where am I?"
