The costume you were asking about with the red and black ninja-type outfit? That's Deadpool. He's a Marvel badass and a sellsword. His nickname is "The Merc with the Mouth" because he's a smartass and cannot shut up. Like Captain America, he can't become intoxicated. His body is resistant to disease and poison because he metabolizes too quickly and recovers too quickly. Side effects from his too-rapid regeneration cause him some problems. He's a little nutty.
ohhhhhh, okay. thanks! because i see so many of him every year - both male and female and in dog form - i just assumed that it was more than one guy. like, that there was some sort of group who all wore the same outfit. i didn't realize everyone was costuming the same dude!
"best day of my life, ever" "they day isn't over yet." LOL!
And they asked me if Harrison Ford ever came to cons. Heh. I said no, that he was probably working on films too steadily to have time for conventions, also he's the type to avoid the craziness of cons.
I love this guy! If you look that much like Scotty, you can't not be him at cons. We took a pic with him last year. i saw him in '09. amazing resemblance.
tried to take a picture, but some D*C volunteers made them disperse. For some reason. probably too close to the stairs. they're fanatical about keeping the stars clear.
It was $27, and I'm assuming - hoping - that the $27 was for more than just his drink and the drink he bought for the volunteer, because otherwise, damn. stuff is seriously over priced at hotels. the hyatt has a $26 breakfast buffet.
also he's the type to avoid the craziness of cons. i think so too, but i didn't want to be like, "are you kidding? there's no way harrison ford would stoop to our level!" :)
the hyatt has a $26 breakfast buffet. yow! i wonder what constitutes a $26 breakfast.
Oh I think your Castiel is OMG!AWESOME! I always wanted to try amigurumi or whatever it's called, but I think I'd have to learnt to actually CROCHET first (I do knit, but that's a whole other ballgame).
Bill was here (Melbourne) earlier this year and was brilliant. I got my pic taken with him too, and could not restrain myself from grinning like a fool at him, and basically being a dick. He did walk straight past me later on, with a little nod, while I was waiting for my hubby, I was less of a dork then. Mind you, don't try to talk to him in the auto line. He's a bit of a dick in that regard, I got totally blown off.
