Yesterday morning I was packing the kids up for the day - K to school, A to the babysitter - when I noticed something was not quite right about the way K looked

Poor K! That sounds awful. I hope she is feeling better now. :)

Well, it's August and her eyelashes are almost all back. There are a couple of gaps, but she looks much more normal now.
