my school has no study abroad programs there, berlin is the only city i would rather go to than barcelona or berlin

although i guess shakira makes madrid look real good

i've never been

i haven't been either

but i can tell you more in a few weeks, i am moving in with a girl from colombia, who said it was beautiful so convincingly and like that was all there was to say that i was on colombia-related wikipedia articles for 3 hours at work today.

what i do know is this:
- there are a lot of interesting fruits unique to colombia --> juice, cobbler
- tamales and arepa are the main foods
- another dish called bandeja paisa that can't fit on one plate
- simon bolivar, gabriel garcia marquez, shakira, ugly betty
- some sort of government dealmaking/military stepup around the cities so you don't get kidnapped by guerillas
- salt cathedral

it is the next extracontinental place i want to go definitely
