For her Bronze Award, my daughter planted a veggie garden with all produce going to our local soup kitchen. Today we take them her first harvest of peas - about 2 lbs before shelling. She also planted zucchini, and some of last year's heirloom Golden Girl tomatoes sprouted unexpectedly so they'll be getting lots more veggies in the near future
