i can't help but feel worthless. the one person who knows me better than i even know myself looks at me with no feeling. he barely looks at me at all. the one person who gave me confidence in all i have to offer, has now shown me that i ultimately have nothing to offer. or at least, nothing to offer that anyone with half a brain would want

although i don't know what it's like to be in your situation right now, i am still a firm believer in whatever's meant to be will be. and i think you and doug are. i hope it all turns out ok, but until then don't beat yourself up over it. everyone has regrets like these at some point. xo :)

When you meet someone who is uncaring/jaded/etc. (esp. a boy) and they change in a healthy progressive fasion, it's dangerous to give yourself more credit than being a muse, an inspiration for that change-like deeming yourself the core reason for it, because if they go back to their old ways, then you in turn are responsible for that as well...which isn't true. That's too much pressure to put on yourself, you just have to understand that you are an *impact* in someone's life, but you aren't responsible for the end of someone's positive qualities. Doug controls himself, you can inspire him but you can't change him. You had every right to be afraid and take time to look at yourself and find out what you thought, because now you know, and eventually he will too.
