israel is surreal. soldiers walking down the street with guns casually slung over their shoulders is a common sight. i have my bag checked everytime i enter a shopping centre, museum or other tourist attraction. so far israelis are the rudest people i've met. it's not that they have bad manners, they have no manners. i honestly don't know how

This post reminds me of the first time I went back to my homeland. I had a very current edition of the map to guide me but I couldn't read any Chinese so it was pointless. Should have spent an extra 10yuan on the English edition.
