           My dad gave me copies of these memoirs and as well as some other family documents including a book written by Philip Grosser on the three years he spent in military prison as a result of his conscientious objector status in World War I. Hi Becca.
I found the memoirs that you posted of Sidney Grosser as I was doing some
geneaological research. If your Great Great Uncle Sidney had children named
Eleanor and George, then we are part of the same family, though probably
not "blood" relatives. The Sidney Grosser in my family was married to Chanah
Shapero, who was the sister of my grandfather, Hyman Shapero, so Eleanor and
George are my second cousins (same great-grandparents, Nathan (Nutta)
Shapero and Brenda (Breneleah) Feldman). Chanah and Hyman Shapero were both
from the Ukraine also (the town of Zvhil), so this seems to be a possible
connection! Please contact me and let me know if this is the correct Grosser
