Can someone please tell me when the icons disappeared?

Hi, everyone!

I know I'm not active anymore but I do want my icons to be available for everyone for as long as possible. And will make sure they are.

What I want to know is when the icons went offline. Does anyone have a date?

Sometimes entire folders disappear from my site and I didn't delete them. However. I was cleaning up my site last month ( Read more... )

Not upset at all! I want these to be available. I'm glad you did. No worries *hugs* just hope I get some idea as to when it went down. Just wrote the hosting company.

Luckily I saved EVERYTHING. I just have to make sure it goes into the correct folders. This will probably be a several days job, LOL. I was so prolific.

Plus, LJ isn't the same without you and your graphics! *hugs* How come you left?

Well, I had a lot happen in my life. I lost both my parents, moved across the country and started a design business. I'm still in shock about my parents. Both were unrelated and unexpected and I still can't quite comprehend it. I moved across the country to be with my boyfriend from high school (from 20 years ago, lol) and he wants me to not be on the computer all that much when he's home. But I really miss making icons! And I may come back to it when things calm down. I always think about it...

I miss you and wish you would come back.

Many icon journals which are no longer active and not logged in to by the owner as well as their Photobucket stop showing. Photobucket has undergone a lot of changes and I frequently see messages that "if you are 'name' please log in to your PB".

A few weeks ago LJ wrote they will begin deleting and purging suspended accounts. After that they will begin deleting journals that have not been used for a year or more but they will make 3 or 6 attempts to contact the owner. It is in lj_news a few weeks ago. Please check out lj news to get all of the correct info.

I know, I miss you all too. I have just had a very hard few years. And I'm working at a design business and my boyfriend likes me to be with him when he's home. So my free time has all but disappeared it seems. But I do keep an eye out for LJ issues. Will make sure that each of the journals I want to be kept active will be, though. Luckily, I tend to log in every few months.

Will see if I can start doing a few icon sets regularly after things settle down.

Any counselor would tell you that you need some down-time on a regular basis from everything and everyone to recharge your emotional and spiritual batteries. *hugs* I lost both my parents and my favourite cat, all in the space of nine months, a while back, so I know some of what you are feeling, although with none of them it was not unexpected, due to illnesses and injuries. Keep in contact with your friends, and keep your own life going; that's what I have done. I don't live w/ my bf, so that it makes it easier for me, I guess.

At any rate, you have made lovely graphics in the past, and I hope to see those come back. There's many people out there still using and enjoying your work. :) Hang in there!

Thanks and I'm sorry to hear about your losses too *big hug* I lost my cat in between my dad and my mom but there was a near 2 year gap between mine. This is just the worst thing I could ever have imagined. I haven't been able to see a counselor yet. I really need to. I was seeing one when my dad died and I know that what I'm going through is normal but it is different. Just because now I've got no one left.

But my boyfriend is wonderful. I couldn't have made it through so well without him or his family. And my friends are AMAZING.

And I do hope that I can make some more icons and things. But I will definitely get the old ones back. I won't be deleting them, that's for sure.

Oh that'd be so great if you could find time to upload them again! (I imagine it must be a pain, though).

I don't have a precise date but it was a while ago, probably several months, I'd say.

Mmm, maybe not as long as I thought. I left a comment here back in July and I thought it was earlier.

Hmm. Maybe I did delete it? I know my site was down for a while, though... I'm thinking that I may just have to load them all back up...yeesh...

It would be a pain but I want to make sure they are still available so I'll load them up once I can get that hard-drive (which is sitting right next to me so at least I know where it is!) accessed.

It's so good to hear from you! I am glad to see you're alive and well--as well as you can be after the loss of both your parents as I saw from reading the comments. OMG, I am so sorry. *hugs*

I miss you and your amazing icon-making skills, but I understand that real life can take over everything. If things settle down and you can get back to making some icons now and then, you and your gorgeous work will always be welcome. :D

Aw, thanks *hugs* It's really taking me a long while to get through the grief. I never thought I'd lose them both before I turned 38. Too young. Way too young.

I may make them again. I hope life will give me a little time to!
