Yellow Fever Kenny G Style!
Went to the PX for lunch today and Carol and I were lucky enough to snag one of the remotes. There are three TV's but only one can have the sound on at a time, and what gets watched pretty much depends on who comandeers the remote. So I snagged it and OF COURSE immediately switched over to TNT and Supernatural. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the volume up on this tv as someone else had already commandeered the other TV's to play the "Soft Rock" channel. No worries, at this point I pretty much know most of the dialogue by heart.
But t'was Yellow Fever playing. Only because of the volume being down on that and up on the Soft Rock channel the soundtrack was altered. Watching poor Dean air drumming to Kenny G is a sight not to be missed! Dean had his nervous breakdown over the ticking clock as Juice Newton serenaded him with "Playing with the Queen of Hearts". And though it was an awful scene, I almost snorted soda out of my nose when the flashback of poor Luther's demise played while Dido was warbling "And I----IIII want to thank you. For giving me the best day of my life!" BWAH!
Carol wasn't nearly as glued to the screen as I was, but when the cat jumped out, Dean's screams were loud enough to be heard over the "Soft Rock" stylings of Eric Carman and got her attention. She'd been telling me about a co-worker who'd been having an "episode" that day and said "Looks like that guy's having an "episode" too!" You have NO idea! MA HA HA!!
But I'm so freakin' ready for the new Season to get under way I'm about to have an "episode" here myself. I'm so ready to see what happens and I'm going in about 98% spoiler free. All I've seen are pictures, still shots (I know *blank* will be wearing a *blank* shirt). But I'm mostly going in blind which is how I want it. I may have to have the TV off or on another channel on the night as I'm sure they'll be playing the previews before hand.
All that said, I have this odd sense of anxiety. Not over the show, but- well I feel I'm not going to be able to "keep up" with everybody- if that makes sense. Already, I'm very behind with most everybody's LJ's. I like to post my exceedingly bad FanArt to Deviant Art, and enjoy other folks' much better FanArt- but there's just SO much already. And don't get me started on Fic! I love writing and reading fanfiction and there are a lot of ongoing stories that are intriguing to me, esp. ones about Gabriel- but there are just so MANY! And I'm kinda like Augustus Gloop (from the old school Willy Wonka movie) going nuts in the candy forest but ultmately doomed in the Chocolate River. Might be a bad metaphor- but seriously SO! MUCH! STUFF! And coupled with the Eye Candy that the New Episodes will inevitably bring? ARRRRRRRRGH!!! Must control self! Must not dive into Supernatural River!!!
*glug!*
In completely unrelated news, I have Polamalu Hair again today. REALLY need to get a cut!
