i just found out that a good friend of mine's mom died yesterday. i have never even met her but i've been sitting here uselessly crying for hours. i keep thinking of him and how hard this must be, and of my own dear momsie and how much i need her every day of my life. what would i do without her? how would i function? i don't know how i would live

my dearest father died when i was 10, and i still haven't gotten over it. we just carry around their memories and love like scars. perfect people do die, but you and I are better for having known them.

i love you too. i remember you telling me about that. it's reassuring to know that people like you have turned out so well even after such a loss. i've never had anyone close to me die before.

on a happier note, i'm going to be in the t.o. area for a bit at the end of sept/beginning of oct... will you be around? i'd love to have a visit! xox
