I miss you, Crystal. I wish we weren't a thousand miles apart. And yes, there are a few bands I've come across. (I've been writing music, too. I really hope I can get a stable situation to finalize things and begin recording. Then I will send it all to you

I fricken forgot! Blind Guardian!!! Start with the songs "Nightfall" and "The Fiddler On the Green". Also... Rhapsody! The songs "Holy Thunder Force", "The Last Winged Unicorn" and "The Mighty Ride of the Firelord" should get you going. If you like that, then try some Nightwish.

Hm, looks like there's a lot of stuff to look into. Fortunately, I have already delved deep into Zeppelin - so much that every now and then I get a visceral need to hear it. Did I mention that the live, extended version of Heartbreaker is purely eargasmic? I scowl at my pansy, hippie acoustic everytime that wild solo rips!

p.s. - I used to like Kashmir, but the rock stations here play it to death. It's like, "hello! there are actually OTHER zeppelin songs in existence, too!"

Thank you for helping me find myself, for listening to me, and for always wanting to know how I really feel, no matter what. I can definitely understand how you might want to uproot from this place and relocate to perhaps a balmier clime (I'D move to a balmier clime, anyway. Fuck NH winters) where art and music is appreciated. And despite my contradictions, imperfections, and innumerable oddities, I do love you. And, currently, I miss you something fierce. You're mostly what I think about as the week drags on. That is, if something else isn't immediately on my mind, like a test or what have you, I find myself thinkin' about you, kid. You've always listened to me, and if you ever need someone to listen to you, I'm just a phone call away (which is too far away for my taste. Right now I'd be happy with a hair's breadth

Thank your mother again for me for giving me the opportunity to get my GED. I was thinking about that today. I still haven't GONE yet... what with alot of really terrible things happening over the past couple years... but I'll have a car soon, and hopefully some time to study (and a stable place to live to do it) and I'll be all prepared. I would really love to be pen-pals with you again, and try to stay in contact more often. I have regular access to a computer now, so it is possible.
