grebinger is one of my favorite professors. i took cultures in globalization with him this past quarter. and he talked about the drug trade again, "labyrinth of cocaine" he named the unit. he had many "gems" but one that always comes to mind first is when he was talking about how if the government shuts down one cocaine "factory" another one will pop up...he said:

"it's like hitting a gob of mercury with a hammer. you hit one big gob, then it just splits into a lot of little gobs. ever hit a gob of mercury with a hammer? i used to do it all the time as a kid. i realize now, i shouldn't have been playing with mercury..."

"as you can imagine, it's a very labor intensive proces...milking a fish for it's sperm..."

"let's hear it for pennsylvania, it's a great place to be from"thailand has now started programs in the brothels educating the prostitutes on aids awareness, and contraception, etc. However, I'm not reccomending you go to Thailand for sexual tourism because of these programs ( ... )

hahahaha while i am laughing hysterically, i'm disappointed that i have actually heard all except for the Ikea one. i had no idea he was scripted. now i suspect he might be a robot.
