At 1:53pm today, I get a phone call asking if I can cover the phones in another department from 2 - 4 while they're in a meeting. Hmmm. Let's see: Short-staffed today, all my competent/informed supervisors are out so they can't make the decision for me, front counter is too busy for me to ask if they'll be ok.... let me get back to you on that
