Left and Leaving is my second favourite Weakerthans song, I do believe (after One Great City!, of course). I see it in some senses as being about winnipeg, which is pretty much a broken down, gang run, deadbeat kind of city. Oh, Winnipeg. That is where I'll be in a month and a half, so I cannot volunteer to be your accomplice in concert-going or in any form of petty crime. I do hope you have fun though. Poetry is fascinating and eloquent, always catching one slightly unaware. Or so I think. But then, I think too much, so what do I know?

I've never heard of this group.. This might be a problem, yes? It's rainy now. But I'm tired from fencing, so sitting in this dark lonely room has been forgotten.

They are my very favourite band. I say that a lot, but this time i mean it. The Barenaked Ladies, Great Big Sea, Moxy Fruvous, they are like my first loves, or someone I've liked so long they are more like brothers. But the Weakerthans, they are my soulmate.
