Hermione,

Must you call me Ronald? You know I hate it. Just Ron is fine, you know.

Summer's been good. 'Course I haven't finished my schoolwork. I am still Ron, you know, I haven't changed. But don't you worry. I'll get it done. Might be last minute but it'll get done.

Lend away. Can't guarantee I'll read it right away though.

What have you been doing? Homework, homework and more homework?

Harry says he should be coming to the Burrow in a few days, maybe a week. You're still coming soon too, right? Like always? I'll see you soon, yeah?

Dear "Just Ron",

I'm glad to hear that you're doing alright. How is the rest of your family?

Regardless of the fact that you are Ron, I'm still going to warn you that you'll get the shock of your life when you start school again.

I've been working, as usual, mother and father have taken a particular interest in my life away from home now, which is strange, but things have been happening in the muggle world, too, Ron.

I'll be coming to the Burrow soon, I promise. Pleasure before business, you know.
Can't wait to see you.

Love,
Hermione.

'Mione,

Family's good. Ginny is eager to see you. Fred and George are exploding things as usual. Charlie and Bill aren't around but their owls say they're good. Mum's... well Mum. Dad's busy at work.

Yeah, yeah... shock of my life, need to get on top of things, I know the drill. Don't worry about it.

I didn't say things weren't happening over there! I just meant that your owl implied you were working a lot.

How soon is soon? This week? I'm bloody bored you know. Could use someone to talk to other than Ginny who keeps asking about Harry.

I miss you Can't wait to see you either,

Ron

Ron,

It's lovely to hear that your family are well, and don't tell me not to worry about your studies, Ron, it's my job to worry about you and you know it.

I'm sorry you took what I said about the muggle world the wrong way, I meant that the muggle world is entering to darker times as well, you know?

I've packed you a little bit of a package to tide you over for a little. Enjoy the sweets, they're all I can get a hold on for the moment. I hope you enjoy it, just so you know I actually put throught into these owls.

I should have my homework and reading completed by the end of the week. I'll owl your family when I know of an exact date, and I suppose I'll see you then. I can't wait to see you Ginny and the rest of your family.

See you soon, but I'll be in touch sooner,
Love,
Hermione.

enclosed is a pack of sugar free sweets and a series of muggle newspaper clippings of a number of strange and horrific things happening around the country.

'Mione,

You worry too much, you know. Maybe if you worried less about studying it wouldn't bother you so much when I didn't. I know, I'm brilliant.

Oh, well, right. Darker times. Got it.

Sweets! You really know how to win a guy over, Hermione. And I don't even care that they're sugar free... I was in need of some of these. Thanks.

End of the week? Sure you can't come sooner and work on some of your stuff here? You could help me finish mine and we all know how much you love that.

I've attached some muffins Mum insisted I send. I helped bake them!

Enjoy the snacks, yeah?

-Ron

'Mione,

I don't expect you to do my homework for me, Hermione. I know you hate when I ask to copy. I just want some help. I'm not brilliant or top of the class like you are and most of the time and need assistance. You don't have to help me if you don't want to. I'll get by.

So you're coming in a few days, then? Brilliant!

Oh, er, you're welcome. I thought they'd be horrible since I did most of the mixing. Figured I messed them up as usual. Mum says you're welcome too.

See you soon,

Ron

P.S. Mum and Dad say the invitation is always open to you and they're looking forward to seeing you.
