Congratulations again! She is so beautiful! I'm sorry things aren't going as easily as hoped, but I'm glad you've got a wonderful support system around you. Hope you get to go home tomorrow and your pain subsides quickly! You're doing a great job, mama! And FWIW, you are SO FREAKING AWESOME for going natural. I am so proud of you. I am also super proud that you at least attempted breastfeeding. I don't care between formula or breastmilk, but I think its great that you are trying hard. It is really freakin' hard, but LOOK AT YOU! GOOD JOB! Sleep well (or as well as can be ;) ).
Oh yeah and I'm still stoked that I had the date right...haha...ridiculous, I know.
stuff is coming outta your tatas they work! YOU WORK, do you plan to keep supplementing? The only thing I have to say is be careful that's how I started with K and at first it was fine then she started favoring the bottle a LOT and it was the beginning of the end of bfing.
<3 LMK if you need anything (bfing related or not)
Thank you :) The nurse suggested supplementing the way I currently am until my milk comes in just to be safe. So far, Lily seems to be going between the two really nicely. I know it can change but so far she's doing really well. My plan is if she starts to deny me, we'll stop offering the bottle as frequently. I'm having such a hard time figuring out the dance. We're both fine, it's just getting her on far enough is sooo hard!
Congrats hon! She is beautiful :) And go you for being all natural - you're a braver woman then I am!
You know Milly was supplemented for a week because of her jaundice and she breastfed fine of 11 months after that. I'm glad Joey is being supportive :)
