15 Brendon walked into the exchange, and head for his office. He had to stop on the way there, when he spot Suarez holding a bottle of champagne and a knife. Suarez slid the knife across the nose of the bottle, but instead of the bottle top popping off, the entire bottle shattered in his hands, and he shrieked.
Brendon chuckled, and continued his walk to his desk.
----------------------
Ryan's phone vibrate on top of his desk, and he glanced at it. Spin
He pressed the 'ignore' button, and grabbed the piece of wood he had just cut, and placed it inside the shelving he had begun to make.
Off in the distance, Mr Ross was watching him with a huge grin on his face.
----------------------
"Okay, Jon, I've got to go. I'll call you after," Brendon said, pressing the call end button on his phone, and forcing the sidekick back into his pocket.
"Bren!"
Brendon turned around to find William calling after him. "William?"
"Yeah."
"Um, I can't talk right now. I'm sorry, I have to get goin-"
"I want you back, Bren!"
"What?"
"I made a huge mistake letting you go. I see that now," William confessed. "Seeing you the other day, you had this glow about you. Not that you didn't- you know, before. Sometimes it takes losing something to realize what you had. I want to make up the wrong I did to you," he dug into his pocket, and held up a familiar shiny object. "This is yours. I gave it to you, and I want to you have it."
"Where did you get this?" Brendon asked, taking the ring out of William's hand.
"And Brendon, you are good enough for me," WIlliam added.
Brendon inhaled sharply, and turned around, walking away from his past.
"I mean that!" William shout.
----------------------
Brendon walked into the court 5 minutes late. His lawyer was already seated at the table when he sat down.
"Court is called to order!" Judge Valdez said, banging his gavel 3 times. "Well, lookie here, the happy couple! Six months down the road. Did you learn anything? We'll see."
Ryan cast a glance at Brendon, who sat still, facing the judge.
"Now, Dr Stump. Did the couple, Brendon Urie, and Ryan Ross obey the court order to live together as man and husband, and do you believe they put sufficient effort into the marriage?"
Dr Stump removed his glasses, and looked up at the two men. "These two have a lot of issues. A lot of deeply unsettling issues. That as individuals, they seriously need to work on. Seriously! But together, in my honest opinion, they're perfect for each other. It's the real thing, go figure."
"Well, thank you Dr. You may step down."
"Psst! Jon!" Spencer whispered.
Jon looked over at Spencer, who held up a piece of paper that had a hand, with the middle finger flipped up on it. He grinned at Jon, who glared at him.
Spencer turned back around, and stood up. "Hi, your Honor. Have you lost weight?"
Judge Valdez sat there with a blank expression on his face.
"Gotcha. Let's begin," Spencer said, looking down at his notes. "Although Mr Urie ran up $25,000 in credit card debt in my clients name, my client recently spent the same amount for materials for his new furniture business. Therefore, we propose the following settlement, your Honor.
"The original $3 Million, deduct half for taxes, and $50,000 that's already been spent, and we're left with $1.45 Million to be divided-" Spencer stopped and squirmed. "Equally."
"Now that's the spirit! You've learned to share!" Judge Valdez chuckled, and looked at Brendon. "Do you accept?"
Brendon leant in to his lawyer's ear and whispered something.
"Um," his lawyer stood up and addressed the judge. "No, your Honor. We do not."
"Gold digging whore," Spencer coughed.
"My client has advised me that he doesn't want any of the money. He just wants a divorce."
"Mr Urie, are you sure?" Judge Valdez asked.
"Yes, your Honor. I am."
"Well then, I hereby grant the divorce, and award all the monies to Mr Ross. Court adjourned," Judge Valdez said, banging his gavel one final time.
Brendon stood up, and walked over to Ryan.
"You win, Ry. I officially want nothing from you," Brendon said, slamming the ring William had 'given' him back, on the desk.
"Oh, my God. I won a case. I just won, we won!" Spencer shout. "I'm the law, bitches! I'm a lawyer!"
