I belong to a Unitarian church. Although I should go more often.

That church is down the road from the church someone on my friends list (lj user=jackiejj>) goes to. She sings in the choir, and knows their choir members well, and has friends/family that go there. She said the whole town is in shock, especially the church members, who regularly get together for interfaith stuff, from what I understand. At least, for once, someone tackled the shooter before he could shoot himself.

Hell, last year some arsehole opened fire on a bunch of kids in an Amish school. Then there's always the suicide bombers in other countries to consider, who target churches/mosques/funerals/weddings on a regular basis. The world is fucking insane.

I'd like to go on record as saying that I hate the show Annie, but I wouldnt go shooting people for it.

Not only can't you fix those commenting, but I wouldn't want to. I read some of them just now, and there were plenty of angry responses to the most crude, offensive utterances. The only fix for offensive speech is censorship, and that offends me far more than anything anyone has ever said.

When people offend you, tell them or ostracize them. That works well enough.
