Delicious wood fired pizza (calabrese; anchovies, green olives, tuna, mozarella, yum) tiramisu (the best, ever, MY GOD, Wade nearly wanked under the table - and Wade doesn't EVER wank under tables, in public), coffee, nicely sloshed on red organic wine (BYO, thank you), riding our bikes tipsy and happy. Mr. Nixon hasn't posted in years. He became disgusted by the state of the world, and is still committing suicide via drink and syphilis.

I like that a few pics later, someone thinks it's (or nearly thought it was) Samuel L. Jackson. Ummmmmmmm...
And I like Morgan Freeman, too, even if he doesn't play bongos.

Yay! Good, SIMPLE happies - I know you get it.
I've been meaning to ask you - how are you getting by in Scotland? Are you going to get another job? Or is Sem a secret millionaire? And if so, will you both adopt me? How about you adopt me anyways?
P.S. Husband comes too.
Every black man looks like both Morgan and Samuel. Possibly even Denzel. But in actuality, he really really did!

Things are going well in Scotland :-). While Sem isn't a secret millionaire (or if he is, it's still a secret!), I'm not getting another job just yet. For now I'm studying (not as much as I should) for my 'Life in the UK' test that I have to take, and I'll be taking driving lessons to learn the UK rules and roads and driving backwards cars on the wrong side of the road (even though legally I can drive on my international drivers license for a year, at the end of it they'll still require me to take a test). Beyond that, once I figure out which end is up, I'm going to try this writing thing. Whether I can actually do that for a living remains to be seen... but wouldn't *that* be something?
We could adopt you (and Wade) anyway, though. Except you're enjoying Chicago so much! And there's not much in the way of... well... all the things you like about Chicago? Not to be found here. Hee!

I miss you, where you been? You never write, you never call, blah blah! Get in touch, crazy lady.
(And yes, very happy - there'll no doubt be some less than great moments in the future, that's life, but I think the renewal of my independence - at the core - has really swung things about).
