As always, there's a slew of films upcoming that I'm getting rather excitable about. Here's a list (with handy YouTubin' links) for your viewing pleaaassuure;
1. Where the Wild Things Are. Many, many people loved this book as a youngun', including a wee givemethegun. Written in the 60's, it's one of those ultimate classic storybooks that you'd

This is on our Netflix list - I hear it's excellent! Is it excellent? I bet it's excellent.
Ong-Bak was the least pretentious, most fluidly organic fighting I've seen in forever. Loved it.

But Zombieland... Zombieland. I'd give kidneys for this flick.

Ack, I forgot to add Zombieland! Oversaturation of zombie fare has made it a little harder to impress, but I saw the preview for it last night, and yeah, I'm in.
What kind of press, if any, is Daybreakers getting in Oz? And did you see Noise? Did that get any attention there? I'm so out of touch with Australian film and music, urgh.
P.S. Good to see you, lovely Nic. xxx

How did you find the transition from Melbourne to Chicago, Catt? I'm wondering how the two compare. This is a city of what, 4 million, but because it's so spread and there's no large populations beyond the city out I get the idea my perception is kinda warped (i.e. that it's smaller than it seems).
Having said that, I'm not complaining about the wages here lol.

Well, I am terribly homesick, but am also home, sick. In Australia, we call it Chucking A Sickie :)
Chicago reminds me of Melbourne in many ways, but it's still infuriatingly American in infuriating ways. There are American things I love, and American things I despise, so it's a trade-off, hon.
And yeah - Wade freaks out over house prices and shit in Melbourne, but I think he neglects to see the benefits, also - higher pay, better quality of life, less violence, health care, etc, etc.

I would actually love to see you, Ms. There's a bit of a flood of Aussies hitting LA these past few months - are you traveling alone, for work, etc? I'm sure you'll love it - just don't eat the food.

Didn't even know about Lovely Bones. Hm.

The Lovely Bones has been Jackson's pet project for the past 3-4 years...I'm kinda surprised it took this long to come out.
Just checked out his IMDB profile; he's got a lot on his plate for the next decade or so.
