though i cannot relate to your struggles in the latter of the post, i know all to well your feelings in regards to the first paragraph. i have 7 years of being straightedge under my belt, woohoo. right. i know exactly what you mean. I have come to terms with the fact that i care more about a persons heart and mind rather than petty choices they make in their day to day lives. parties sicken me for the sheer fact that more productive things could be done or experienced.

we old kids need to be strong, and i don't mean that as "hardcore pride" or anything, but just strong in our convictions. be proud, but not to prideful, and be caring, but not to overreaching, and give acceptance, not judgment. Use our past to overcome our future, and lay building blocks down for future generations. If you look in your heart, you will know what i mean.
