A shame that obvious untruth concerning our leaving Discedo could not have been the opposite. I think we all tire of the endless nonsense.

Though it seems the most common thing anyone can bother to discuss are the coming and going of individuals here. Why not spend the time we have so much of finding our own way out? Waiting till ( Read more... )

[Just laughs.]

If they want people to settle they should probably stop dragging in pirates and rebellious people like you, eh?

It would serve them better if they didn't. Too many of us and they will have an uprising on their hands.

... why there isn't one already amazes me.

Probably because an "uprising" would merely amount to be disseminated and then brought back to life with little chips inside of us.

In other words; not only pointless and painful, but probably just make them more hostile and feel the need to punish.

You people let this fear of these chips and what they can and can't do hold you back. They don't even need to do anything and you all would sit here, just sit on your hands and wait for your time to leave.

Wouldn't you?

Better to try than do nothing. And if they retaliate, that is only part of a rebellion. One must fight to win what they want, sitting on the sidelines because of ifs and buts is a cowards way.

Yet so many here go about their day as if they have given up. As if they are fine with living in this place.

We should be working constantly to find those who brought us here and then go home.

No, but there is something wrong with becoming so comfortable that escape is the last thing from one's mind.

The people here are to comfortable and use to this city now, why bother trying to escape when they're given just enough to get by? Just enough that the Scientists must care about us? [He'll scoff.]

They use us like rats in a laboratory, so fitting they call themselves the Scientists.

People have tried to leave. In all kinds of ways. Magic, technology. It never works.

Finding and making these Scientists will work. Yet all I hear is that it has been tried.

So trying one or two times means that all is lost? You people give up so easily.

It hasn't been one or two times. It hasn't even been only tens times either.

The scientists show up when they want. Not much else we can do about it.

So then we are to just sit on our hands until they hopefully send us home?

While I have all the time in the world to do so now, I would rather not.

Sure, if you can think of a way of escaping nobody has tried yet, I'll give you props.

I do not need your validation of what I do or don't do. [But he'll secretly be very happy if he proves everyone wrong.]

I guess you're right. Escaping is just something you do for yourself, after all.

At least you understand that.

Surprising you have not berated me for trying to do what 'so many' have tried. Or so people keep telling me. I highly doubt this is truth, with how comfortable people have become in the city.

I believe the issue is that no one can manage to get it done. Every turn that is taken to escape is blocked by something else the scientists come up with to bring halt to the attempts.

When? I have yet to see any evidence of this?

Even so, one should not give up on something they desire. No matter what the cost or how long it takes.

Then perhaps you were not here at the time, hm?

That is all well and good, hope is something to hold onto, but failure weighs heavy on a person. Exceptionally so if it's a frequent failure. Your confidence though, it begs the question: what do you propose we do, sir?

And you have been? I care little if there is danger, I will and can handle it.

Failure is a drive to do better, those who cannot deal with it are too weak to be worth the weight of what they desire.

I don't propose any of you do anything but stay out of my way.
