so this morning my mum tries making a fire in our fire place, then leaves to go to work. next thing i know the smoke alarm is going off and our carpet is on fire. she put the still smoldering ashes from the night before in a PLASTIC garbage can. apparently melting the dust pan in order to get the ashes into the basket wasn't enough. she had to melt

I know how you feel about the not being able to sleep. I went through all the same stuff last night. I ended up falling asleep two hours after I got in my bed. It sucked.

I'm sorry about your carpet. One time I lit a rubber band on fire and I freaked out and threw it in the garbage can... yea, it caught on fire and burned the stuff around it. I hid it well though, so my parents never found out lol.

Haha man andrew thats some funny business there.. Seeing that people are sharing their fire stories i think ill share mine..
I was cooking bacon, it lit on fire ( i mean like..flames bellowing out everywhere) and I grabbed the pan and threw it on the linoleum floor leaving black holes all over the place...then my sister patted it out with a towel..I'll never live that down with my parents. Anywho...my cell phone is turned on now!
