Pictures of tornado damage

Thanks to sciencekitty for refreshing my memory on how to post pictures!
On May 30th at around 500 AM a tornado touched down in a little town of about 1000 people 20 miles from where I live.  The following Tuesday, I went over and took some pictures.  Unfortunately, my pictures of damaged trees did not turn out as well as I would have liked.  My own ( Read more... )

I'm SO glad you are okay!
We didn't get too much here in Omaha, but had some damage on homes. Gotta hate storm season!

dang, i had a flashback to 'katrina' with the shots of the blue tarp roof on the church.....it's always a tragedy when weather shows people how truly powerful it is....my prayer for those affected...

Ohmigosh, I bet it did make you think of that! I made a small donation and asked that it go to help a fmaily who did NOT have insurance. I figured they needed it the most.

Thanks, we have a lot of water and flooding about nine miles away, but no major damage other than some wind. Thanks much for posting.

So glad you are ok! Amazing pictures of just how lucky people are. Sigh. So much weather damage there, here and further east.

Glug...I love your pic. I was 20 miles from the damage, but it is horrible the way this summer is starting. Hope you are in a safe spot!

Yeah, just too much rain and dreary skies. We haven't had any of the rivers truly flood yet, much to my amazement but it's been wet for a very long time. I pray we have a summer.
