One thing I try to do is to memorize something new every month.  Some months I am better at it than not!

So far I have memorized:

American Presidents in alphabetical order
American Presidents in chronological order
Two paragraphs of a RFK speech (A Tiny Ripple of Hope)
The Gettysburg address
High Flight by John Gillespie Magee Jr.
Sea-Fever by John

If you´re not specified on american history or so here´re my suggestions:

World capitals
William Blakes "Tyger, Tyger burning bright"
National anthems (melody or/and lyrics)
Greek Mythology Gods

Hmmm, we don;t want me singing, but the world capitals could be a good one. Thanks for the suggestion!
