It's hard to type through the tears. This is a powerful, moving story made all the more poignant by Pike's first person point of view. When you do write angst, you write it very well. <3

I was so shocked that this fic turned out so well. Angst usually trips me up (I cringe now when I re-read Every Fifteen Minutes) to the point where I second guess everything I write, but this one wasn't like that. I thought about the idea, hashed out a few of the details with Jade, and boom! The fic was done. It was probably three or four days from the conception of the idea to the fic being done. That's so momentous for me, it's insane. Case in point - it took me six months to finish Rule 52.

I kind of felt like this was something that hadn't been explored, what might have happened if Pike didn't make it. And because I love beating up my characters, I figured, "What the hell? How bad can it be?" I'm glad karma smiled down on me, even if it's making everyone else cry. Thanks so much for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
