Fuck. that sucks, dude. Wanna hear something messed up? I don't play anymore because I'm always at the top of all the lists...I was starting to be viewed as a commodity instead of a horn player, and it was like, "Oh...just grab her...she's good, so she'll play for whatever"...it was like, "excuse me...I have other things to do...." and they're like, "What else can YOU do?"
So that kinda pissed me off. And when the orchestra director got mad at me for having to drop out of school and yelled at me because he'd have to hire a horn player...that was it. And I haven't played since Easter.
So I guess what I'm saying is that not being at the top is probably a better thing if you're not inclined to care all that much, anyway. If that makes any sense. Which I'm sure it doesn't.
I'm not mad because I'm not first chair; I'm mad because they put me in a band they didn't tell me about. Everyone thought we were in either Wind Ens. or Concert band, not some high school crap. If I wanted to play with high schoolers, I'd go back to Collierville.
Either way, with or without all this bullshit they've thrown at me it was my last semester anyways. So I'm mainly pissed they're ruining my last year of a massive part of my life.
