-Earlier this week, the head umpire called me. He said, in more words, that a Triple-A competitive baseball team (12 yr olds, but AAA is considered prodigy children of the sport) requested that I go with them to Cooperstown Dream Tournament, which is a huge tournament in Cooperstown, New York. Whats cool is they're paying for my plane ticket there

Are you still considering going the umpire route as a career? If you are, this could be a great time to start looking into it further...get some information, pimp yourself out, etc.

Yea, I'm still considering it because of 1)its easy job for good pay (professionals get a 6-figure pay!) 2)cause I've tried office jobs (ok, job) and they don't mix well with me 3)its the only thing I actually care about enough to bother studying/learning to do (I'm horrible about being interested in something and learning just enough to fill my curiosity and moving onto another subject)

So yea, I'm excited. :D
