So it's that day. I still refuse to formally address it, I hated it for so long I'm not going to turn into a hypocrite. This year a lot of venom has been removed from the day itself, however. I don't mind a holiday of love, I think its a lovely concept but the commercialization of it annoys me extreme levels.

Agreed, and when I was single it was the holiday that, more than any other, made me feel alone and worthless. I always wondered why it didn't beat out Christmas for number of suicides. It always seemed less a day of "Celebrate your love" and more of a "Rub it in the lonely singles people's faces" day.

I get over it by every year picking one thing to praise on that particular day. This year I celebrated my absolute love for zombies :)
