I love my writing group. Not in the marrying kind of way, but I love the group dynamic and what we do for each other's stories. The group’s been around in some form or another for over thirteen years. I’ve gone from the new kid to the senior member, but the current mix has been fairly stable for the last few years. What I've learned more and more: we are an oddity. It's rare to fund a group that's been around as long and is as helpful...consistently...as ours.

There probably aren't many groups who dish out the abuse as well as us, either.
