I know the first time I had to leave a title it was difficult. Sometimes you just can't always get behind an idea. Mine was Thor for FSI. I had what was a brilliant idea (At least to me anyway). I just really struggled with the second issue - maybe there was too much going on, maybe it was back when I didn't really plan things and just...wrote, but I had to step away and It was a sad, sad day.
It's never easy when you have ideas and concepts that you wish to accomplish but, sometimes, you just need to walk away. Save yourself from all the frustration when the story you wanted to tell isn't working. It wasn't an easy choice but one that had to be made for me, and for the consistency of the title.
Gavin is a true professional and was upfront with me and I respect that.
I hope that we can work together again and I have some ideas already brewing and also hope that his other series are successful. From my brief partnership with him he is well spoken, easy to work with and has lots of great ideas and is fun to work with on a title. I hope that soon we can work together.
Gavin Ill be in contact there are some more consistent titles at AV that I think you would be good on.
If you have ideas you want me to look at, then shut them across e-mail or msn to me certainly. This time I'll really plan and write a proposal for something before I go ahead with it.
At the moment, I have nothing. I'm sure there'd be something more stable I could write though.
