I was scared for a while here! I'm so glad they've decided on another try. :) Nicely done. :)

Sorry to freak you out! I'm glad you liked it, though.

1) Using my favourite line from the whole song as your title: awesome! Well, mostly for me but you know.

2) Break-up fic!! Even if it doesn't stick I still love it so so much and this one is great. It's very low-key but still really sensual with the rain and the picking up of all the physical things Brad does that Nate misses. You get a ton of great mental images out of this fic.

3) All-around Good work!!

1) Haha, it's my favorite line, too, so I guess we're both #winning.

2/3) Well, I got the song and it was so good I was sort of overwhelmed, and then I thought, what's my fallback? and it's breakup fic in which they eventually reunite (or don't and are super-angsty and dumb idiots). Thanks for the compliment--I'm really glad you liked it.

There's something so unusually real about the relationship and interaction here. You get the complexity of how people in love relate to one another, including the unhealthy/irritating/weird parts, which everyone has. Lovely piece.

Thank you! I see them being apart as not a black-and-white issue, so I'm really glad that came through.

You legit made me cry. Stupid adorable boys and your stupid lack of emotional growth. God, Brad is intimacy issues mixed with abandonment issues wrapped up in fear of commitment with an extra layer of stubborn thrown in. And Nate and his leaving Brad even though he doesn't want to and misses him the whole time, and it's just one of those break-ups where you're like "you two idiots do realize you could have avoided all this bullshit by having a damn intelligent conversation, and you also solved nothing by breaking up, and you were both worse off without the other, correct?" Contrary to popular belief, you can't actually read each other's minds. They're such freaking boys, and it's perfect and true to character.

How did I not see this until now? I'm especially sorry about the delay in responding because of how wonderfully sweet this comment is.

Yeah, this 'verse is one in which neither of them can seem to not fuck up for very long. Thank you so much!
