Disappointment

I've honestly been brought to a point of disappointment again but this one actually shocks me a little. I went to a gay community looking for some sort of support and understanding in a situation and the majority of what I got was insulted? You would think a community that's being attacked just for being who they are, killed for liking the same sex, would understand about a slaughter of innocent people being turned into some sick form of entertainment.

We're beaten because of a lack of freedom. No one lets us live the way we want: they try to stick their morals into our lives. Therefore, we're highly suspicious of anyone who wants to restrict freedom, and say, "You can't do this." What if homosexuality is the next thing we can't do? Everything we've fought for is gone.

You say there's a difference between artistic critiques of religion and a game about a massacre, and you're right--but how does that get enshrined in law? No art about massacres? What's the difference between a game that seeks to understand a massacre--a game that is a work of art--and a game that exploits it? We may know when we play one, but how do you prove it in a court of law? You can't. People will argue that anything that offends them is just exploitation.

The pure point that you think this game is being used to find out why someone would murder, the "artistic" form of it to find out why anything displays that you don't know anything about the situation. If it were being used for something good the "artist" wouldn't have put up a ransom to have it removed. He put it up there out of spite to hurt people, that's what has me upset ( ... )
