At least on the estate itself, he didn't have to be much of anything but himself. And he could go around with his wrappings off because if anybody did make a big deal of it, there would be hell to pay.
... Besides, there were babies to meet. Meet, and possibly attempt to smuggle out for ice cream.
Or just smuggle out in general, but he figured he wouldn't get terribly far with that one, no.
It was weird to be back here, all the same. Sort of like an odd, temporary homecoming. He was putting forth a good effort to not look as awkward as he felt, looking around the estate to see what had changed since he'd left last.

"We're leaving with precisely the number of children we came with," Hannibal said firmly.
Which, for the record, was none, in case Jono had forgotten.

But look at them, Hannibal! Look at them!

Some things never changed: Emma Frost's inability to cope with small children was one of them.
"I was promised honey-pears," she warned, toe-ing off her heels under the table as she reached for her teacup. "You better deliver, Glacia."

She was coming along to that fitting with popcorn, yes.

Could she maybe bring that telekinetic glove and hold him still for it?
Hannibal smiled. "You'll be pleased to know that neither of us is wearing white, which leaves the color open for our guests."

He had brought Hania with him, and the girl looked around with curiosity. This place was certainly different from home.

"Leto!" Karla's grin was almost incandescent when she spotted him. He and Kennedy were two of the invitees that she hadn't been sure she'd see today. "Handsome as ever, no surprise there. But is this lovely girl Hania? Already? Hell's fire and Mother Night, Leto, I refuse to believe she's this old already!" Karla held out her hands to the young girl in welcome. "Hello, darling," she greeted. "Did your father tell you about me?"

He didn't mind Hania getting more of Karla's attention than him though. The girl took Karla's outstretched hands and smiled brightly. "Of course he did. You gave me my first knife." She actually wore the little pendant today. It had been a most fitting gift for a baby.

"Besides," she added in a stage-whisper. "I wanted to be the one to give you the best gift and everybody said I wasn't allowed to give you a baby sandworm."
That...hadn't actually been on the list of possible baby gifts. Cross her heart, Leto.

He put on a crisp collared shirt and a pair of khakis and sat at one of the tables, and tried to remind himself not to eat too many little lemon cakes.

Hania had quickly disappeared to seek out the company of the other children, so he had no blue eyed girl in tow.

"What about you?"

He was enjoying both the autumn weather and the chance to not be overdressed for the setting.

"Are you visiting to?" he asked, smiling. "Clearly Karla has friends I haven't met."
Which wasn't surprising, really.
